Am I the only one that feels like August has gone by in the blink of an eye? Seriously it feels like Summer was just getting started yesterday and now school is in full swing. I'm not going to complain though because this has been the blahest and most trying year for me. Can't say that I'll miss 2018 when it's gone. Anyways, cheers to having a 3-day weekend this week.

I'll be sharing them here for accountability purposes. A bit of moral support would be appreciated as well. My goals post for September goes live tomorrow. 😬😬
Searching | I have to find a new OB/GYN and I'm not happy about it. My old practice doesn't accept my current insurance and they currently don't have an office in SC. To say that I'm not happy about this is an understatement.
I'm not rich yet (naming and claming it) so foregoing my insurance and paying for visits out of pocket isn't an option right now. I'm calling next week to request some recommendations because my own personal search has left much to be desired.
I'm going to miss my old practice and the staff. I'm keeping hope that we'll be reunited before I decide to have my next kid though.
Reading | I recently paused on finishing Dread Nation to read Influencer by Brittany Hennessy. It's been such a great and informational read.
While some of the stuff I knew because she's an industry insider (Senior Director of Influencer Strategy and Talent Partnerships at Hearst Magazines Digital Media to be exact), she drops some insider gems and insight on what brands are looking for, how influencers can better position ourselves to attract those brands, and much more.
Definitely worth a read whether you're new or old to blogging/YouTubing or whether or not you ever intend on monetizing your platforms. She emphasizes the importance of building community and hving a squad that's a mixture of like minded influencers as well as friends and family members. Add this to your Fall TBR lists.

Counting | The countdown to my birthday has officially started. Sagittarius season is almost here y'all!! 🎉🎉 The journey to 33 has taught and showmn me so much. I'm claiming my journey to 34 to be my victory/level up year.
I'm not sure what I want to do for my birthday, but I know I want to be surrounded by my family. Also, I know what I want for my birthday for a change this year. I've already made a birthday registry at Target and am working on one for Amazon to share with family and friends.
Let me know in the comments if you're a fellow Sagittarius!

Preparing | Remember last week I mentioned that I wanted to host a Fall readathon? Well, I finally came up with a name for it and finalized the reading challenges. I decided to make this a season long readathon running from the first day of Autumn to the last day.
I'm preparing to officially announce the readathon name and challenges next week. I'm excited but nervous at the same time. This will be my first time hosting my own readathon and I'm not sure what the participation response will be. Overall, I just hope that this readathon helps me to connect with more book lovers and that we all just have a great time reading and chatting books together.

Well, I'm off to enjoy the start of our 3-day weekend. I'm beyond looking forward to getting an exta day to sleep-in.
What are your plans for Labor Day?
